One of my biggest loves is food. And to get some nice food you need to learn how to cook. My parents, family and friends learnt me how and I still get delicious recipes I love to share with you. Here some recipes of me and others, I hope you like it.

First I want you to meet Kaki.
I'm in love with Kaki. My dad bought them on the market and after a while I was hooked. It's very healthy and it has lots of antioxidants, vitamins and beta-carotene.

You can eat it like an apple or cut into quarters, but you have to peel the skin first.
It has a sweet taste but I also like the structure of it. Try it and let me know what you think of it!

Party breakfast!
Banana, almond milk, oats pancakes. Baked in coconut oil and topped with yogurt, chia seeds, mint, strawberries, figs, goji berries and a little agave sirup.

Breakfast!
Yogurt, mulberries, goji berries, chia seeds, kiwi and kaki fruit!

Hangover lunch!
Scrambled eggs with tomato, mustard, salt and pepper.Baked spinach with a little bit of olive oil and onion. And of course green tea!

Curry time!

Curry, a recipe based on one of Jamie Oliver.

For 2 person you need this:

- one little pumpkin
- a half eggplant
- 100 grams chickpeas
- 1 can chopped tomatoes
- 1 can coconut milk
- one piece of fresh ginger
- 2 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 2 shallots, finely chopped
- 1 red pepper, take out the seeds
- fresh coriander, the leeves picked and the stalks finely chopped
- few sprigs of mint, leaves chopped
- olive oil
- 1 teaspoon of yellow mustard seeds
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric
- 1 teaspoon of honey

Heat a little oil in a pan and fry the garlic, onion, pepper and ginger. After a few minutes add the mustard seeds and coriander stalks. Stir briefly and add the tomatoes, turmeric and coconut milk. Bring to boil and add the pumpkin, eggplant and chickpeas. Cover the plan with a lid and let it yarn on a low heat for 45 minutes. After the 45 minutes you take of the lid and let the curry cook for another 15 minutes. Add some salt and pepper if you want too and don't forget the honey for the sweetness. Garnish with coriander and mint.

LOLOPALAZZO will be at iSaloni in Milano | 8-13 April 2014

Laurence (F) is currently working in The Hague, The Netherlands. Having held many different jobs in the creative sector including interior design, life experiences and changes led her to start working on an idea she had toyed with for a very long time: to design and produce industrial chandeliers through welding and plasma cutting.

Having started working with sheet metal, Laurence eventually turned to recycled materials, adding another accent to the idea of tough and graceful. She now uses materials such as bicycle chains, motorbike chains and other parts she finds trawling through steel and car demolition companies, bicycle repair shops and scrap yards throughout the country.

One of my biggest loves is food. And to get some nice food you need to learn how to cook. My parents, family and friends learnt me how and I still get delicious recipes I love to share with you. Here some recipes of me and others, I hope you like it.

Chickpeas, grilled chicken and a tomato salad.

A delicious recipe of Yvonne, one of the most popular home cooks of Holland. Check http://www.thuisafgehaald.nl/koks/maison-du-trottoir/item34085#bedankjes

You can buy chickpeas canned or not canned. When they are not canned you have the hard ones, you have to well them first (8 hours). After you cook them for 60/90 minutes. I didn’t buy them canned, because I wanted to try the cook part of the chickpeas ;-)

You make a dressing of olive oil, garlic, onion (prefer red), pepper and salt.

In the meanwhile you grill the chicken with some pepper and salt.

For the salad you only need some delicious little tomatoes, mozzarella and balsamic vinegar.  READY TO EAT!

Codfish with vegetables from the oven

Vegetables: cherry tomatoes, zucchini, yellow sweet peppers (paprika), fennel
With on top codfish.
Some olive oil, pepper/salt and put in the oven for 25/35 minutes!
Simple, healthy and delicious!

This dish is a recipe of a very special woman called Alice Lord.
It's a typical Surinam dish.

Brown beans with a little tomato paste, onion, brown beans with the juice of the beans, a little sugar, pepper/salt and at the end some parsley.

Chicken from the oven with garlic, ketchap, soy sauce, pepper/salt (own version)

Then cabbage with curry powder.

The green vegetable is typical Dutch, string beans. I steamed it with a beef cube and some water.

And last but not least: cucumber/onion/red pepper salad with vinegar, water, some sugar and clove.
And of course don't forget the white rice!
Breakfast time!
Yogurt with raspberries, strawberries, figs, muesli, minth, flax seeds, chia seeds, goji berries, pumpkin seeds and some agave sirup. Lovely!

Just a reminder for you to eat some fruit!

Three years ago I stepped into one of the best sushi restaurants of The Hague, Suzuran, where Micha Hasfeld was sitting at a table. Micha, an old friend of my father and leader of the band The Clarks, told me he had an idea for a theatre show about the pop music of Holland. After some miso soups, california rolls and sake, my father and I were extremely excited about his idea and Micha asked me to sing in the show.

Two years later we had the premiere in a sold out theatre in The Hague, Diligentia.

In the show you will go on a journey through the history of Dutch pop music. With the most funny old stories, videos and of course with live music.

We meet The Tielman Brothers , Johnny Lion & The Jumping Jewels, The Golden Earrings, Q65, The Motions, Earth & Fire, Shocking Blue. You will see The Rolling Stones at the Kurhaus and the radio ship Veronica on the beach of Scheveningen.

For me as a 23 year old girl (24 years now) this was obviously something new. I needed to get out of my comfort zone to sing, for example, Ria Valk and The Ramblers. I spent quite a time behind my laptop and thought while rehearsing the songs: this is not my thing! But I can't explain how much I've learned from this other music genre. Stepping in another time and another style of music is surely something worth learning. I enjoyed a lot of this learning process.

Of course, the theatre life was also a new thing. The Clarks is a professional cover band for 30 years already and they have played on many places at the Netherlands and abroad. But they never played in theatres, so for them it was also an exciting experience.

I can not describe how exciting the first minutes are of the show. The curtain is closed, everyone is ready, the light in the hall goes down, people stop talking. Anyway, I had some sweaty hands every time ;-)

After the premiere in 2012, we played in January, February and March 2013, among others in Rotterdam, Rijswijk and Zoetermeer. The last two were sold out. In between there were various radio and newspaper interviews and we have been invited to come to the lovely Tineke de Nooij and her radio show.

In the summer it's very quiet at the theatres, but in October we were back and we played for the second time in a sold out Rijswijk and Zoetermeer. We also played at Poeldijk and Vlissingen. We finished the year in a sold out Diligentia for the second time!

I'm very blessed to do this theatre show with The Clarks, Martijn Oosterhuis, Rudy Bennett ( The Motions ), Frans Krassenburg ( Golden Earrings ), Valentine Bovendeert and the crew.

On to next season, are you coming too?

It's almost a year ago when I did this photo shoot with Marc Haers. Marc (1989) is a young, very talented photographer who lives in Amsterdam but has his studio based in Rotterdam. We know each other from Middelburg, a small city in Zeeland (NL) where we both grew up. This is the third shoot I did with him. I will post the other shoots later ;)

If you want to see more of his work, check his website www.marc-haers.nl

Next to Marc I also had Carlyn Burger as my own beautiful stylist and Iris Zuidema who did my hair and make-up. I'm still very happy with the result, so let me know what u think :)

Nails, nails, nails. I have so much nail polish, but I never use it. I keep them in the refrigerator, so they don't get thick of the temperature. Thank god I have a lovely sponsor, Cindy van Raam of MS Nails Rijswijk. She works with O P I gel color nail polish.

Check her website www.msnails.nl or call 06-43043375

The first photo is my favorite, 'with every heart beat'.

We all want to have a beautiful skin, a nice body and a healthy lifestyle. It starts with your food choice. I can't say I am a 100% health freak, but I do eat fruit and vegetables every day, I don't eat any products that are already prepared by the food industry and I try to eat less sugar. I never have soda's, chips or candy at home . I do have dried figs or nuts to get my 'candy' rush done. And I'm a smoothie addict!

Here some smoothie recipes I love :)

If you want to know more about how the food industry is fooling us.

Check http://www.hungryforchange.tv

Soft pink smoothie!

Yellow smoothie!
Oranges, pear, banana, cannabis seeds, chia seeds and goji berries.

Purple rain all over the place. But it’s such a healthy smoothie! Spinach, celery and of course redbeet!
Veggie beige smoothie!
Coconut/rice milk, celery, cucumber, carrot, cannabis seeds, flax and chia seeds.

FACT CANNABIS SEEDS

Cannabis is one of the oldest, well-known medical plants in the world. It has some great medical powers and it’s been used by many cultures for thousands of years. Cannabis seeds contain all the essential amino acids, lots of proteins and essential fatty acids necessary to maintain healthy human life.
